Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Xena — your next adventure buddy and loyal best friend! 🐾🎾
Xena is a stunning 3-year-old Rottweiler/Lab/Pit/Malinois mix with the perfect blend of athleticism, brains, and heart. She’s the kind of dog who gives her all in everything she does—whether it’s chasing a tennis ball (her absolute favorite thing in the world!), splashing through the water, or going for a long, satisfying run. If you’re an active person looking for a running or hiking partner, Xena will happily match your pace and enthusiasm every step of the way.
Xena is incredibly smart and loves to show it off. She already knows her basics—sit, lay down, paw, stay, come, and drop—and takes pride in following commands. Training with her is not only rewarding but also a great way to bond, since she thrives on mental stimulation and enjoys learning new things. With structure, consistency, and plenty of activity, she’ll shine as your devoted companion.
When the day winds down, Xena is just as happy to curl up beside you for some cuddle time. She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves being close to her people. She especially adores kids and is always eager for attention and affection from her family.
Xena does need to be the only animal in the home, as she prefers to soak up all the love for herself. She’s looking for a home that can provide plenty of exercise, stimulation, and structure—a family that will keep her active, included, and loved.
If you’re searching for a smart, energetic, and deeply loving dog who will bring adventure, laughter, and loyalty into your life, Xena is ready to meet you. ❤️

More about this shelter
Companions Animal Center is a non-profit organization funded exclusively by donations and grants. Every day we receive numerous homeless animals. We shelter, feed, and provide medical care for these animals while searching for loving homes for them.
As a "No-Kill" shelter, animals who are in our facility do not face a "be adopted quick or else" ultimatum but rather are cared for until they can be placed.
Our Mission - is to focus all of our efforts and resources toward directly benefiting the quality of life for all abandoned or mistreated pets with the ultimate goal of finding each one a loving household in which to share their lives.
