My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ellanor – A Wild-Hearted Girl with a Zest for Life 🐾💥
Looking for a fun, fearless, and fiercely loyal companion? Meet Ellanor a spirited female cattle dog who’s equal parts sweet and sassy. She’s always ready for her next adventure — whether it’s hiking trails, exploring new sights, or just zooming around the yard with that trademark cattle dog energy.
Ellanor is affectionate and loves her people deeply. She’s happiest when she’s on the move, but she also knows how to melt into you for a good cuddle after a long day of fun. Her playful, rowdy nature means she thrives with structure, activity, and someone who understands what it means to live with a smart, high-energy WORKING BREED .
Because of her strong personality and prey drive,
Ellanor needs a home with no other animals. She would do best in a home with adults or even older children who can respect her space and match her enthusiasm for life. She’s not a dog for the faint of heart—but if you're looking for a loyal sidekick who will keep you laughing and on your toes, Ellanor might just be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

Companions Animal Center is a non-profit organization funded exclusively by donations and grants. Every day we receive numerous homeless animals. We shelter, feed, and provide medical care for these animals while searching for loving homes for them.

As a "No-Kill" shelter, animals who are in our facility do not face a "be adopted quick or else" ultimatum but rather are cared for until they can be placed.

Our Mission - is to focus all of our efforts and resources toward directly benefiting the quality of life for all abandoned or mistreated pets with the ultimate goal of finding each one a loving household in which to share their lives.
