My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available now!

Date of birth ~ 6/1/24

Love is PATIENT, love is KIND! Just two of the traits that Momma Maci exhibits the most! Maci came to us VERYYYY pregnant, and we only had six days of getting to know each other before she gave birth to EIGHT beautiful, healthy babies! EIGHT KITTENS! She definitely shocked us all! Maci is a young, hardworking, single mom, who works long (sometimes overnight!) shifts at the Milk Bar to make sure her babies stay fed and happy. She has done a fantastic job at raising eight beautiful babies, but it's time to put her child rearing days in the past and find this sweet girl a family of her own. Maci is talkative and loves a good chat, and always wants to be by your side. She is truly the sweetest thing, and is absolutely deserving of a loving family to be a part of.

If this kitty has not yet been spayed or neutered they may still go home if the approved adopter agrees to sign a legal contract certifying that they will take Kitty to the spay/neuter appointment.

Our standard adoption fees are $99 for adult cats and $150 for kittens. Kitty's adoption fee covers spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age-appropriate distemper vaccines, FeLV/FIV combo test, flea treatment, microchip & registration, and dewormer.

We believe that kitties need a feline friend! For their health and happiness, we highly recommend that kitties be adopted in pairs. If you adopt more than one kitty, you will receive a discount of $25 per kitty. Previous adopters will receive a $25 discount on their new kitty.

If this will be your first kitty, we suggest that you check out this site for a lot of important information: Cat Adoption Checklist. People think cats are easy pets, but they are very unique and there is a lot to learn. There is a lot of information online, and you are always welcome to ask us our advice.

You'll want to make sure you have all the basic supplies before you bring a baby home: nutrious food, bowls (not plastic), litter, litter pan, litter scoop, toys, scratchers & cat trees, nail clippers and a cat carrier.

Additional adoption info

Apply to adopt on our website www.bellavitanc.org
*Fully vetted includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, microchip & registration, age-appropriate distemper vaccines, de-wormer, flea & tick treatment, and FIV/FeLV test.
It’s true, there is no such thing as a free pet. But adoption should be affordable for everyone!
Did you know cats do better in pairs? Young kittens learn important social skills through play and interaction with other kitties. They also keep each-other company so they won’t get lonely while you’re at work!

More about this rescue

Bella Vita Animal Rescue Inc is a 501c3 non-profit. All of our funding comes from donations and our own personal wallets. Your donation is tax-deductible and will make a huge difference in the life of a homeless animal.
We are a small group of volunteers who do this in our spare time because of our love for the furry things in life. Specializing in cats, the pets in our adoption program live in foster homes; we do not have a facility. We are based in Statesville, North Carolina, but service all of Iredell County.
