Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sharpie, a true survivor with a heart of gold. This sweet and gentle girl has been through more than most, yet she remains incredibly loving and affectionate. Sharpie lived peacefully with young kids, cats, and other dogs in her previous home and appears to be fully potty trained. At around 5 years old, she is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and negative for heartworm. She’s also on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
Sadly, Sharpie suffered extensive injuries after, what we believe, was an attack by another dog/animal, and her past owner neglected to get her medical care—resulting in the loss of one ear due to infection and surgery to repair damage to her left eye. Despite all this, Sharpie is a resilient girl who adores people and continues to wag her tail and seek affection. She’s ready for a forever home that can give her the love she has always deserved.
🐾 Ready to Adopt? Here's How!
The first step in our adoption process is submitting an application through our website. Simply visit: https://www.hoovesandpaws.org/shelterluv.html, click on the pet’s photo to view their full bio, then click “Apply for Adoption” to get started.
Please give us a few days to review your application. If approved, you’ll receive an email from adoptions@hoovesandpaws.org to schedule a meet and greet (including any necessary dog-to-dog introductions).
If the meet and greet goes well and you’d like to move forward, we’ll schedule a home check—this means we’ll bring your new furry friend to your home ourselves. This helps ensure a smooth transition and gives your new pup a familiar face upon arrival. We’ll finalize the adoption at that time!
