My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Purrbot, Climber, Playful

Halloween Wizard is all treat and no trick! He is highly affectionate and will start his purr motor the moment you pick him up. At night, he wants to sleep on your pillow! His eyes are cutely crossed, and his loving slow-blinks for you are unrivaled.

If he were a human, we think his favorite hobby would be rock climbing! This guy is a whiz at climbing the scratching post. He has unlocked the basic level of the cat tree, and is ready for an advanced one with lots of climbing opportunities! There needs to be a safe “dismount” for him, though, because he has a curved spine that affects his balance.

Halloween Wizard was born with a curved spine; in addition to affecting his balance, he has a different kind of walk to get around. He is a brave, smart, and adaptable kitten!

He became friends with the other kitten in his foster home, Xena Warrior Princess (183237), who is recovering from broken bones. It took Halloween Wizard a minute to learn how to play and be gentle with her, and he has figured out how to interact well with her. (Though sometimes he thinks that means he should be able to share her food!)

He was suspicious of the foster dog at first, but now Halloween Wizard regularly curls up with her! He will wrestle with the dog if Xena is sleeping.
The same is true for children, Halloween has positive experience with kids.

Halloween Wizard might move through life a little differently, but he has figured it out. His home should be with gentle and caring people who appreciate him for everything he is - he’s way more than his curved spine and wonky walk! They should monitor his mobility, but at this point, no special care is required.

He’s an amazing and handsome boy with a brown-gray mackerel tabby coat. He is looking for people to love, a safe home, a fun cat tree, and maybe a feline or canine friend. Contact us to learn more, and to arrange a meet & greet with Halloween Wizard!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
