Cleo (Mamma) was found abandoned with her kittens, Socks, Toffee, and Tango on a ranch out in El Dorado. They were rescued, brought to a vet, dewormed, and given plenty of love and nourishment. Cleo is content to watch her kittens playing and wrestling from the sidelines. She seldom jumps in to join the fun, but when she does, she is very spirited, purrs with delight, and plays gently with her babies. She has STUNNING golden hazel eyes and beautiful tabby markings. She loves to be pet and spoken to, she begrudgingly lets me pick her up, but doesn't have the patience yet to be held for extended periods. I believe this will come with time and getting settled into her new home. All the cats are social butterflies - we haven't found a person they haven't liked yet, they never hiss or scratch in anger. Cleo is so full of love and just can't wait to find her forever home!

More about this rescue
Mission Statement
Fat Kitty City Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation, dedicated to ending needless animal suffering, through spaying, neutering, socializing, adopting and other aggressive approaches.
Our objectives are:
Provide a "no-kill" sanctuary for unwanted, Feline AIDS positive or negative, abused, neglected, feral, tame, stray or lost pets.
When possible, each pet will be rehabilitated, socialized and adopted (with a microchip) to a good family.
Those pets that cannot be rehabilitated, will live out their lives in our sanctuary, in dignity. They will receive love, housing, food and veterinary care.
To spay or neuter every pet we receive, to reduce unnecessary suffering.
Provide reasonable space for each pet to live out a high quality of life (not to live out their lives in small cages with barely enough room to move around).
Provide relief from the weather by providing a heated shelter during cold weather, etc.
Provide stimulation. A yard with trees to climb, lawn and dirt to play in and toys to enjoy.
