Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maxx is a 4-year-old Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle) looking for his perfect forever home. He’s a sweet, goofy guy who loves snuggling with his people just as much as he enjoys a good adventure. His family loves him very much but can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves.
Maxx has nice manners in the house and was crate trained as a puppy. He can be a little unsure when meeting new people but warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. He’s enthusiastic on walks and will need someone patient and consistent to help him with leash skills. Maxx has lived with kids and done well, and he’s enjoyed playing with other dogs of different sizes. We’re not sure how he would do with cats.
Maxx is up to date on vaccines and is neutered. If you’re looking for a fluffy adventure buddy with a big heart, Maxx might be the one for you.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
