Meet Boonie🧡
💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_

1⃣ Health Condition
* Spayed.
* Microchipped, and heartworm to be retested in December 2025.

2⃣ Rescue Story
* Boonie was found living on the streets in the cold winter, caring for her puppies. When a report was received and rescuers arrived at the scene, she was wearing a tightly fastened collar and nursing her babies on the roadside. She was very underweight and her and her puppies’ health were a major concern, so they were rescued immediately.

3⃣ Basic Information
* With People: Seems to have been hurt by people in the past, so it takes time for her to open up. When meeting someone one-on-one, she gets nervous and whines. However, comes closer and gently accepts petting if you approach slowly.
* With Dogs: Really loves other dogs! Though a bit shy around overly enthusiastic new friends, she gets along well and plays happily with others.
* With Cats: Showed no particular interest when encountering cats outdoors.
* Separation Anxiety: Unknown since she’s currently living at our center. Needs training from scratch.
* Potty Training: Unknown since she’s living currently at our center.
* Hygiene: Is good at baths, and tolerates nail trimming and brushing.
* Walks: Still getting used to walking on a leash and is currently in training. Used to chew leashes due to a strong repulsion to them, but has stopped with repeated training. Can get a little excited or anxious in new environments, but quickly calms down and follow the lead of handlers!
* Car Sickness: Has no motion sickness during short trips.
* Biting: Is very fearful of humans, so she is being monitered whether she shows defensive nipping or not and training is ongoing.
* Barking: When meeting people one-on-one, she whines or cries.
* Likes: Likes treats but doesn’t eat while people are watching her. Prefers treats that are a good size for nose work. Tends to eat without hesitation if treats are thrown on the ground.
* Dislikes: Appears uncomfortable when people approach while making staring or when they hold out their hands suddenly.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US and Canada when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
