Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Agatha ( aka Hanako) is a gentle soul who’s ready for her second chance. Her story is one of resilience and hope. She is approximately 3 years old and has short black fur. This beautiful jet-black kitty spent her early years surviving on the streets, bravely raising a litter of kittens in a caring lady’s backyard. Thanks to that kind neighbor and a dedicated rescue group, Agatha and her kittens found safety and warmth in foster care. While her kittens all found their forever homes in 2024, Agatha needed a little more time—her rough start in life made her understandably shy and cautious around people.
Since the fall of 2024, Agatha has been blossoming in her foster home, especially around other cats. She’s still learning to fully trust humans, but her progress has been wonderful to witness. These days, Agatha eagerly comes looking for pets at feeding time, and while she might still be a bit nervous if you reach out at other times, she absolutely LOVES to play with toys with her foster. Playtime has become a special way for her to bond and show her sweet, curious nature.
What makes Agatha truly special is her love for other cats. She’s a social butterfly among felines—affectionate, gentle, and always seeking out her kitty companions for play and affection. If you’re looking to add a loving friend for your current cat, Agatha could be the perfect fit. Her ideal home will be one that can offer her a feline friend and give her the patient, loving environment she needs to continue her journey toward trust.
Could you be the understanding, patient adopter who helps Agatha shine even brighter? If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this resilient girl and perhaps give your own cat a wonderful new friend, Agatha is waiting to meet you. She may need a little extra time to adjust, but we’re sure you’ll find her companionship—and her heart—worth the wait.
Her adopt fee is just $125.00.
