Acacia came to us from our shelter partner in SC on 6/15, after spending three months in the shelter there. She's about 2-years-old, 47lbs, spayed female, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative.
This low rider is SO sweet, a total love bug, and adores people (including strangers). She loves to cuddle and, like most pitties, doesn't know much about personal space. She seems like the type of dog who will be down for whatever and follow you anywhere - on a walk or to the couch. ☺️
She's also good with most other dogs! She loves to zoom around. She could likely live with another playful dog or two - we'd just have to do some meet and greets in a fenced-in area first. She is reactive to other dogs *on leash.*
She rides well in vehicles, does okay for baths, is tolerant of being crated (after a few initial moments of voicing her displeasure), and she loves treats and toys.
She has a great recall, knows “sit” and "down," is learning "stay," knows what “no” and "off" mean, and takes treats gently. We're working on mouthiness when she gets over-aroused, and she does respond well to "no." She's already improved significantly since being here - she's very eager to please and treat motivated. But due to her occasional excited mouthiness, we think she should not be in a home with young kids, at least while she's still learning what's appropriate.
We call her a rocket potato. 🚀🥔 She’s about 75% chill and 25% rocket. 😋 She's pretty laid back and is happy to entertain herself with a toy, and every now and then she gets the zoomies. She IS guaranteed to make you laugh every day!
