While his magical siblings from the Harry Potter litter found their homes in Mississippi, sweet Snape was one of the last two left behind at the shelter. But Fetching Hearts Rescue saw the magic in him and knew he deserved more than a kennel — he deserved a chance to shine.
So, along with his buddy Malfoy, Snape made the journey north in search of the loving family he’s been dreaming of. And what a gem he is! Snape is a big, goofy bundle of joy — all legs and all heart. Honestly, he should have been named Goofy!
He adores people and loves to run and play in a fenced yard. Whether it’s hiking, walking, or just zooming around with his humans, Snape is always up for an adventure. His happy wiggle butt and constantly wagging tail will keep you smiling every day. Snape loves his toys and treats!!! Training for him should be super easy as he is super smart and wants to please you.
At night, he’s the perfect cuddle buddy, ready to snuggle up and dream of magical days ahead. Snape is ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination.
All routine annual vaccinations, including
Rabies, DHLPP
Bordatella (Kennel Cough)
Heartworm Test
Fecal Test, Deworming
Microchip
Flea and Tick Prevention
Heartworm Prevention.
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
