Angel Baby has been with us since June, and she came in almost hairless from a severe flea infestation and painful skin infection. While her skin has improved with treatment, her hair has been slow to grow back. On top of that, she is severely heartworm positive and will be starting treatment soon. Shelter life is especially hard on her — the constant barking and barrier reactivity are already taking a toll, and dogs like her can decline fast.
The Challenges (Honest Truth):
-Reactive to other dogs through barriers and easily stressed by the shelter environment.
-Standoffish with people until she feels comfortable, not naturally people-seeking.
-Not highly food or treat motivated, and picky about toys.
Why She’s Worth It:
-Keeps her run clean when on a consistent bathroom schedule.
-Enjoys her kongs and can settle with enrichment.
-Has shown resilience despite everything she’s endured — from skin infections to heartworm disease.
With time, patience, and a calm environment, she has the chance to feel safe and start to come out of her shell.
Angel Baby is looking for someone patient and compassionate, willing to give her the stability she’s never had. With the right home, Angel Baby could finally get the peace and comfort she deserves.
