This cutie is Pickles. He is one of the 18 dogs we rescued from a hoarding situation we took on 3 months ago. He is an adorable Standard Longhaired Dachshund mix. He is estimated to be 1-2 years old and 19 lbs. Pickles is one of the last ones we still have in care. Sadly, he was one of the most timid. He’s slowly making progress and wants to love so bad. He needs an older — calmer home with the patience and love to help him learn to fully trust and let go. He recently moved fosters and me are hoping with more exposure to different things it will help him progress. He has truly made leaps and bounds this last week and has come further in a week than in the 3 months in care. He’s not an aggressive boy — he’s just so so shy. He just needs a chance and extra love. He’s utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neuter.
Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.
All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
