St. John (Sin Gin)
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if a trash compactor came to life? I give you exhibit A. This gentle giant will eat anything you put in front of him, plus some if he’s left alone. Have no fear, he doesn’t eat inanimate objects, only food. No counter is safe in a lonely home. Problem? Not one that can’t be solved. This big guy just requires an industrial kennel when you’re not home. He acts like he’s the king of the castle in his big metal mansion and loves a good bone. He doesn’t mind it one bit, and although he may make out a little disgruntled whine, he settles very quickly.
People tend to think pit bulls are scary! St. John laughs in their face. He doesn’t have a scary bone in his body and certainly not a mean one. This guy loves babies more than most humans, and is so sweet and gentle with kiddos. Unless they are afraid of kisses there’s absolutely nothing to worry about! Big and small, he’s met them all and passed with flying colors!
Walks? Heck yes! Toys? Please! Balls? He loves a good romp in the yard after one! He walks great on a leash, loves to play, is great with dogs of all sizes. He can be a bit picky when it comes to larger males, but we always take things super slow with any introduction. St. John would do great as an only dog, a dog’s friend, or a boys best friend. Really, he would fit in anywhere! He would love to be the king and be spoiled rotten, but who wouldn’t!
Oh, did you mention cuddles? This guy LOVESSSS a good cuddle session. He gives the best hugs this side of the Mississippi too!
If you’re looking for a companion with a rough and tough exterior and a teddy bear heart, St. John is your guy. Don’t pass him up simply because of his breed, or he’s just a plain black dog. Please take the time to meet him, see his potential, and we promise, you’ll love him!
