Meet Butterfly – A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom

Butterfly is a 3-year-old tabby girl with a quiet strength and a heart full of potential. She came to us with three newborn kittens but seemed unsure how to care for them. Her babies stayed with our medical director for round the clock care, while Butterfly moved to the Catty Shack to recover and heal—both physically and emotionally.

At first, she was timid and scared, unsure of her surroundings. But with time, patience, and gentle love, Butterfly began to blossom. Now she greets volunteers when they arrive and has truly thrived in her calm environment. She now LOVES pets and attention.

She’s spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped—and she’s finally ready to find her forever family.

Butterfly LOVES her cozy hideaway beds to sleep in and finds great comfort in having a covered, safe space to retreat to. Once she trusts you, she’ll show affection and enjoy your company. She’s resilient, sweet, and absolutely worth the wait. She loves to play with toys BUT her favorite thing is having a cat tree she can climb on.

She enjoys Purina One Adult Dry Food, Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers, and has a soft spot for Churus—the way to her heart is definitely through her stomach!

Butterfly would be happy with a gentle companion. She LOVES other cats and she’s so affectionate with them. We’re not sure about her history with dogs, so a slow, respectful introduction would be key.

We may not know what Butterfly endured before she found safety, but we do know this: she has the spirit and heart to be an amazing addition to a loving, patient home.
