I’m a “volunteer favorite” — I’m very easy to love once you give me a minute to show you my heart.
I’m a slow-burn kind of girl, give me 3 days to get comfortable and I'll show you just how special I am. I like to observe first, then gently melt into your life. If you’re patient and calm, I’ll reward you with loyalty, soft eyes, and top-tier companionship.
* I thrive around quiet, gentle humans who move slowly while I gain confidence
* I am the queen of soft places - I loveee to lay in bed or on the couch! And I'm starting to cuddle my foster family which is my new favorite hobby
* I LOVE walks and quiet hikes with my foster buddies — nature but make it peaceful, please. By myself, I might get nervous and want to turn back home. I'm working on this though!
* I’m just now realizing that toys and stuffies might actually be fun, so that’s exciting!
* Peanut butter kongs = so much happiness
* Mealtime is one of my hobbies. I take it very seriously. I’ll be waiting!
* Potty training? I’ve mastered that once I get into your routine
* Car rides are cool. I sit nicely and enjoy the scenery like a road-trip buddy
* I’m working on confidence every day and getting braver by the hour! I have opened up so much since arriving at the shelter, please give me a chance to show you ❤️
I am amazing with other dogs — like, truly, I feel unstoppable when I’m with them. They help me feel safe and show me the world isn’t so scary. So my perfect forever home must include another dog friend for me to live with. Not optional. They’re my emotional support squad. 💛

Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) Adoption Process
- Complete our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey to expedite the process and arrange a meet-and-greet. Expect a response within about a week; please check your spam folder. As we're 100% volunteer-run, your patience is appreciated!
Requirements And Donations
- Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS).
- Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.
- Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies.
- Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available.

- Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; Saturday 11 AM-3 PM; Sunday 11 AM-1 PM.
