Meet Otis. He originally came into the shelter in 2023 as a stray. Sadly he was returned to the shelter this year because his owner could no longer afford to keep him. Otis is one unique character. His cool markings alone make him stand out but he has a personality like no other. Otis makes everyone laugh with his attempt to sound impressive with his grunts. He lives to be around people and suffers from FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) if he is in a room full of people. He will run up to everyone and throw himself at their mercy in order to get them to give him belly rubs and look into his eyes to tell him how handsome he is.
We would love to see Otis in a home with someone or a family who is familiar with bulldogs. We are looking for a home that does not have small children because Otis does not realize that he will accidentally knock over anyone harder than a grandma trying to get the newest toy at a Black Friday Sale when the doors open. Otis needs to continue with his basic obedience training so he can truly enjoy traveling with his new family and going to as many places as he can. We think that for now, he needs to be the only dog in the home, but we can see the potential for him to live in a home with another dog eventually.
Otis has great potential as long as he finds that new owner who understands that with a little work, he can be the next top model.
