My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cigra

Cigra is a very happy girl, she loves to play with toys and fetches like a champ. She is very young and boisterous. As such she doesn’t always know what items are actually toys or not. She loves going on walks and can walk nicely on the leash. She is very food motivated and hasn’t said no to a treat yet. Cigra has done well with dogs, she hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like yet. She’s very playful with other dogs which can be overwhelming for less active dogs. Cigra could still use a little guidance in respecting the end of play but even when snarked at she isn’t perturbed. According to videos from her home country she is also cat friendly. On walks she doesn’t mind the cats either but none of them get close enough to find out. Cigra has been around older kids without issue, she’s not gentle enough for little children right now. She loves people and wants nothing more than to get all of the pets from everyone. If you like sass she is a champion backtalker.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

2.

Interview

We have multiple interviews to make sure we find the right fit.

3.

Home Check

4.

Approve Application

After approved application we try to find the right fit. Bull Terriers are not an easy breed and we want to ensure it’s a perfect fit

5.

Pay Fee

We always start with a foster to adopt phase. The adoption fee is due upfront but is automatically returned if it doesn’t work out.

6.

Take the Pet Home

The foster to adopt phase is minimum 1 month to make sure it’s a good match.

7.

Sign Adoption Contract

Additional adoption info

If people just want to start out as a pure foster we follow the same process minus the adoption fee, as a foster isn’t planning to adopt. If the circumstances change and a foster wants to keep the bully we would then follow the process with adoption fee & adoption contract.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are solely foster based so a meet & greet can only be arranged if the bully is in your area and the application is fully approved.

More about this rescue

Bull Terrier Rescue Mission “the Mission” started as a personal commitment to service what is now, The Bull Terrier Rescue Mission, Inc. a 501(c)3 charity (BTR Mission/BTRM).
BTRM is an organization of like-minded volunteers committed to protecting the health and welfare of Bull Terriers in need of homes. A community of volunteers extract these dogs from their unfortunate circumstances, and give them the care and comfort they deserve.

Our Mission will ensure that their medical needs are addressed, given time to decompress while they’re properly evaluated. We will rehabilitate when necessary, and work towards finding them their final and perfect homes. We commit to advocate and protect these wayward souls for the duration of their life even following up after they’ve been adopted.

The BTRM, works with private individuals, rescue professionals, animal shelters, pet owners, ethical Bull Terrier breeders and veterinarians throughout the United States, to provide these services. Its board members have over 20 combined years and hundreds of separate cases of rescue experience. If BTRM is unable to provide direct support, cases will be referred to organizations or individuals that can. As with most successful rescues, the strength of this Mission, is in its network and the relationships it has cultivated.
