My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Need a sidekick? Stuart's your guy. Loves to snuggle, play, go for walks(avoid other dogs), loves the beach, friendly to humans on walks or in the house. I'm dog selective in the right environment(in your house or someone elses house). Has to be a calm dog, not close talker.

Doesn't like the TV much, will attack/bark at the TV at times-just need to change the channel or turn off, easy to redirect. Absolutely no ceiling fans on or at all. Sometimes I bark at shadows or moving light.

Stu is a Velcro dog who likes to follow your every move. Food motivated, I am a counter surfer, so don't leave things hanging around. If you're having company with food, it may be best to lock me up, but I'm not missing out, I can't hear what's going on. You can bring me back out when the food is gone.

I'm a typical bullie with some of the best zoomies/huckle butts I've seen . I particularly like a zoomie in the backyard and I like to crawl under the deck and get dirty😅. I'm non destructive if you leave the house. I will chew on things on the floor, if you aren't paying attention to me for awhile.

I love kids, but would be best with kids 5 years or older. I'm super sweet, I'll love you with all my heart.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

2.

Interview

We have multiple interviews to make sure we find the right fit.

3.

Home Check

4.

Approve Application

After approved application we try to find the right fit. Bull Terriers are not an easy breed and we want to ensure it’s a perfect fit

5.

Pay Fee

We always start with a foster to adopt phase. The adoption fee is due upfront but is automatically returned if it doesn’t work out.

6.

Take the Pet Home

The foster to adopt phase is minimum 1 month to make sure it’s a good match.

7.

Sign Adoption Contract

Additional adoption info

If people just want to start out as a pure foster we follow the same process minus the adoption fee, as a foster isn’t planning to adopt. If the circumstances change and a foster wants to keep the bully we would then follow the process with adoption fee & adoption contract.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are solely foster based so a meet & greet can only be arranged if the bully is in your area and the application is fully approved.

More about this rescue

Bull Terrier Rescue Mission “the Mission” started as a personal commitment to service what is now, The Bull Terrier Rescue Mission, Inc. a 501(c)3 charity (BTR Mission/BTRM).
BTRM is an organization of like-minded volunteers committed to protecting the health and welfare of Bull Terriers in need of homes. A community of volunteers extract these dogs from their unfortunate circumstances, and give them the care and comfort they deserve.

Our Mission will ensure that their medical needs are addressed, given time to decompress while they’re properly evaluated. We will rehabilitate when necessary, and work towards finding them their final and perfect homes. We commit to advocate and protect these wayward souls for the duration of their life even following up after they’ve been adopted.

The BTRM, works with private individuals, rescue professionals, animal shelters, pet owners, ethical Bull Terrier breeders and veterinarians throughout the United States, to provide these services. Its board members have over 20 combined years and hundreds of separate cases of rescue experience. If BTRM is unable to provide direct support, cases will be referred to organizations or individuals that can. As with most successful rescues, the strength of this Mission, is in its network and the relationships it has cultivated.
