I came to Pet Angel as an emergency placement a few months ago, when my former owner needed to seek mental health help. She didn’t want to go away without somewhere for me to go, and Pet Angel saw the post on Facebook and offered to help! My former owner dropped me off to a lady who kept me overnight, and the following day, another lady picked me up and transported me to Pet Angel! It was a lot of shuffling for me, so when I showed up here, I was pretty upset. I have been a single cat my entire life, and suddenly, there were all these other cats and smells around me that I wasn’t familiar with, so I took longer than other cats to decompress when I arrived at the rescue. Pet Angel gave me all the time I needed to decompress and didn’t push me, and that worked! I slowly began letting my guard down, stopped being afraid of everyone, and even started coming out of my cage! I became good friends with one of Pet Angel’s volunteers, and have fully settled into the rescue life! I still don’t like the other cats… but Pet Angel keeps me separate from everyone else, and that makes me happy! I got fully vetted, and now I’m ready to go up for adoption!
In my former home, I loved my owner! I loved to sit with her, play with toys on sticks, and sleep in her bed with her at night! I kept myself entertained with toys and looking out the window at the birds when she was at work, and kept her company when she came home each day! Here at Pet Angel, I adore my stuffed cow! He came with me from my former home, and I still love to cuddle with him! I enjoy laying in my fluffy cat beds, and I LOOOOOVE Yeowww catnip toys! I throw them around like a silly cat, you should see me play with them! I also LOVE wet food and treats! My favorite wet food is Churu’s, Pet Angel calls them “cat go-gurts,” and I am just OBSESSED with them! Ill lick them right out of the tube! I am active and playful, but not at the level where I’m going to climb your curtains! I am also sweet and would love to sit on your lap when you watch your favorite shows at night!
I think that my transition into my forever home (hopefully your home?!) will be easier than my transition to Pet Angel for a few reasons. I won’t be shuffling between a bunch of people and places, you’ll take me straight from Pet Angel to your home! I am looking for a home with no other pets, and the fact that you won’t have other pets in the home will automatically make me more at ease when I
