Sweet Lizzo is a 3 year old female border collie mix whose gentle spirit and quiet loyalty make her an ideal companion for someone seeking a soulful bond. She is about 30 lbs. She may be initially shy, but don’t let that fool you, this special girl is incredibly intelligent and forms deep, lasting connections
with people once she feels safe.

Lizzo is incredibly dog friendly and no matter what the size or temperament of other dogs, she fits in well with them. Once she settles in, she loves playing chase with other dogs. She enjoys both being chased and chasing other dogs. Lizzo is incredibly fast and agile and this is a great way for her and other dogs to expend some energy. It's quite special to watch!

It's apparent that Lizzo has been through some not so great times in her life. She is very timid and skittish with new people and just needs time to adjust to new things. She will often choose the quiet comfort of the indoors, curling up calmly on the couch with humans or dogs. You will also find her gathering toys and bones to play with or chew on.

She’s not the goofy, high-energy type. Instead, Lizzo is your classic calm companion, the kind of dog who prefers connection over chaos and will happily be your couch buddy after a long day. She gets along well with other dogs but thrives in a peaceful home where she can feel secure and truly bond with her person.

Lizzo is available to adopt in the Chicagoland area and is being fostered in a home. Appointments to visit her will be set up for approved adopters only. Adoption fee is $300.00 which includes all appropriate vaccines, and she is spayed and microchipped. Lizzo would do best in a home with children 10 years old and up.
