My name is Spice!

I may be named Spice, but I`m everything nice! I came to ECCHA as a transfer with my friend, Sporty, who has since been adopted! I`m a sweet, shy, loving senior pup who just wants to cuddle on a cozy bed! I like a nap as much as the next old man, but I still love to go on walks where I can sniff all the amazing smells the world has to offer! I`m a little shy at first, but I`ll come around quick if you show me some love. All I want is a quiet home to spend my retirement. We aren`t sure how I do with cats, so please introduce me slowly. I have done well in our puppy play group with older, quieter dogs. I would need to do a meet and greet with your dog if you already have a dog at home. Here is what my foster mom had to say about me: `Spice has been slow to warm up and feel comfortable being an indoor dog, but he is doing great in our home!! We had put a diaper on at home for the first day, just in case, and he had tried to mark on a couple spots in our house, but since then has been amazing with only pottying outside! After 2 days in, he hasn`t even tried to lift a leg and will always let us know when he needs to go outside & hasn`t had any accidents while we`ve been at work (he`s home for 3-5 hours depending on the day). He isn`t destructive at all (we haven`t needed to kennel him at all) and is definitely starting to show some of his playful and cuddly side. He loves his water bowl, being brushed, long slow walks (he is amazing on leash with a harness), getting forehead and cheek kisses, and learning about life in a home! He has learned to love dog beds and that it`s ok for him to lay on them, kongs, TV, and although he doesn`t fetch.. he likes pawing at balls! He is a 10/10 dog. :)` With my age, I do have some manageable medical concerns. I did just have a dental to have a bad tooth extracted and the rest of them cleaned up a bit, so I am good to go!! Please ask the staff for more information. I was neutered at ECCHA. Will you take me home to be your couch potato?
