Sugar is a petite 9-year-old gal looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish her while she lives out her golden years. She is made of sweetness. She is an adorable senior who loves to give kisses, wiggle her nub, go on walks, take naps and play with her stuffies.
Sugar would do best as the only dog in the household as she is happy with human interactions and getting all the attention. She also does well with kids and is non-reactive to cats and birds. That said, Sugar is considered dog tolerant, as she warmed up quickly with her foster dog brother and has done well with some male dogs at boarding. With the right introduction and personalities, she could coexist with another dog well.
Sugar is potty trained, crate trained (not destructive when left out), doggy door trained, knows how to sit, is very polite, doesn't jump, and takes treats gently. Sugar loves people, loves kids, loves to go to a restaurant patio, and is great in large group settings of people.
Sugar loves to go on walks! - we walk her 1 mile in the morning. Then she chills the rest of the day. She's very excited for her walks, so it's always a fun time! She tends to pull in the beginning but settles after about 10 minutes We started using an anti-pull harness and she's doing great with it.
Sugar was HW+ and underwent Heartworm treatment through DPA in July 2024.
