My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chula is an absolute lover girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She’ll follow you from room to room, curl up in your lap, and nudge you for affection. She adores giving rubs to anyone nearby and will happily chat with you using her adorable, unmistakable crunchy meow. Because Chula can get a little overstimulated at times and prefers a calm environment, she would do best as the only cat in her forever home. She wants all the love to herself...and she gives it back tenfold. This sweet senior lady has so much love to give and is ready to brighten someone's life with her companionship, cuddles, and quirky charm.
If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate best friend with personality to spare, Chula is your girl.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
