Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet River!
This little guy may be one of the smaller pups in his litter, but what he lacks in size, he makes up for with a fearless, adventurous spirit!
River is playful, smart, and incredibly quick to learn. He’s always up for fun—whether it’s with people, other dogs, or his beloved toys. He especially loves his hard chew toys right now, as he's teething, but he never turns down a good cuddle with a stuffy either.
With his sleek, smooth Terrier coat—mostly black with touches of tan—River is as handsome as he is charming. He’s looking for a home where someone is around most of the day to continue his training and socialization. This energetic pup needs a family that can match his zest for life and include him in their daily adventures.
Due to his small size and energetic nature, River would thrive best in an all-adult home or with children aged 10 and up who understand how to be gentle with a puppy.
If you’re ready for a smart, spunky companion who wants to be part of everything you do, River may be your perfect match! We're currently accepting applications, he'll be ready for adoption after July 5th.
(An adoption fee of $400 is required.)
If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form. https://www.chewdogrescue.org/adopt
If you have previously submitted an application form to CHEW, there is no need to reapply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.
