Introducing HAVOC... DOB est 7/3/2017, male, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped...

This SWEETHEART of a boy, who clearly has lived a rough life in the past, is hoping to find a Forever Family that will love him as much as his foster mom does!! HAVOC was born and grew up in a trailer park like so many other less fortunate cats. He was fending for himself for years and had to fight with other tomcats to survive. He also had severe ear mites and scratched his ears and head for years, thus the scar tissue you see. He also had burned paw pads from living under an RV where no grass was growing. Due to his appearance, folks saw others treating him horribly and throwing rocks at him.

HAVOC earned his name by being the tough guy he is on the outside - however on the inside, he's a mush ball for lovin'!! It took 8 months to trap him to get him seen by a vet and at least neutered, as it was assumed he was quite feral. He always ignored the trap & walked by it, until one night which turned out to be HIS lucky night! He went to a vet, was neutered & ear tipped, as well as treated for ear mites for a few days. To the surprise of many, HAVOC became extremely friendly and affectionate within a very short time. Clearly he was craving the safety and attention that CARING humans could give him! He sits by his foster mom for hours & often naps beside her. He's enjoying the pampered life of a food bowl placed in front of him every day, and loving care - he's learning how to live his best life! He does fine with other cats, although tiny kittens do scare him oddly... lol... He can't open his eyes fully because of scar tissue on the upper eye lids, he has some allergies and he is FIV+. All of this is manageable though, so we're looking to see if there is someone who would love to give this special big guy his FOREVER Home!! Please email info@ffhsv.org to inquire about meeting and adopting HAVOC, or Apply at the Link above!

More about this rescue

Forgotten Felines, Inc. is a 501-(3)(c) non-profit charitable organization. Our primary purpose is to manage the feral cat population in our area by trapping, neutering/spaying and re-releasing (TNR) cats back into their original territories. We also work to provide safe temporary homes for cats that are homeless, unwanted, abandoned or lost. Some of our animals have been rescued from dangerous conditions and cannot be released back to their original territory...these animals are housed in foster homes until permanent loving homes can be found. The majority of these animals are friendly abandoned pets, that are not feral, and we offer these loving and grateful animals for adoption at Petsmart in Jones Valley, Huntsville, AL. We also provide help to people who are elderly, disable, financially challenged and those who love their animals but cannot provide them with the necessary care.

Our Mission...

(1) Control feral cat populations through neutering/spaying
(2) Educate the public about about proper pet care and responsibility, especially neutering/spaying and advising about pet behavior and medical issues that often result in families giving up their pets
(3) Humanely remove and relocate ferals when possible
(4) Adopt out loving, grateful animals into permanent forever homes
(5) Raise necessary funds to build a shelter for rescued cats
