My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cali is a 30-lb sweetheart who’s happiest right by your side. ????
Born 6/12/23, Cali is the perfect balance of playful and chill: always ready for a walk or a cuddle, never too much of either. With her soft ears, short legs, and gentle spirit, she’s a pro at turning strangers into fans.
Cali loves people most of all, though she’s a little selective about her canine companions—so she’d thrive as either your one-and-only or with a dog she truly clicks with. ??

More about this shelter

The Bulverde Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1983 by Dolores Caldwell, BAHS is a no-kill shelter caring for up to 400 dogs and cats annually. The shelter resides on 3.25 acres of park-like land and houses indoor/outdoor kennels, a cattery, nursery/medical recovery building, agility fields, and fenced-in play yards.

BAHS is powered by volunteers and overseen by a Board of Directors. Our volunteers ensure the dogs and cats get plenty of exercise, playtime, and unlimited cuddles, love, and affection.
