Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shirley is a Beagle/Lhasa Apso mix. 8 weeks old, 5lbs - located in Zion. She has mastered leash walking with a harness and now fetching and bringing back to you when you say “go get it”. She is not crazy about being confined in a hard shell kennel or x-pen, what she absolutely loves sleeping and chilling in the playpen as it is more open. She likes the security of being contained as it’s less scary, especially when you can’t be in the room with her.
She also has fun playing in the open spaces in the home and does well entertaining herself.
Taking her for a walk before you need to leave the house is key. She expels the energy she wakes up with, allowing her to settle down for a nap shortly after. She is catching on quickly to doing her business outdoors, but when she plays and fetches there may be an accident or two.
Shirley is more than ready for her forever family. She would be happy with a fenced in yard and/or going on walks daily with her harness and leash. She would love a calm, gentle furry brother and/or sister to snuggle with as she struggles a little bit during the night. She would not do well with an aggressive dog. There are no children here, so I can’t speak to that.
She’s just a baby, so she is apprehensive about new things. Once she masters that, she is totally fine.
