My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tesla’s Compatibility:
Dogs - Bring your pup for a meet & greet
Cats - Passed her cat test!
Kids - Yes, 12+

Tesla is shy, sweet, and absolutely adorable! She’s the kind of dog who makes you want to offer her a cozy blanket, some gentle words, and maybe a snack or two. The shelter is a little overwhelming for her, but the more comfortable she gets, the more her loving nature comes to life.

In her previous home, Tesla lived with other large dogs and did well most of the time. She enjoys calm one-on-one interactions and might do best with another easygoing dog. She’s housebroken, crate trained, and such a good walker. She sticks right by your side and checks in often. She also loves treats, soft toys, and does a cute little hop when she’s excited!

She isn’t asking for much. A calm home, kind people, and a little time to settle in would mean everything to her. Tesla has so much love to give and just needs a chance to feel safe enough to show it.

Come meet her and give this sweet girl the fresh start she’s been waiting for!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
