My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Basics:

Age Approximately 5 years with puppy energy

My best quality: My honey brown eyes and cuddling

Where I need work: I play hard, you may have to slow me down or redirect me

Weight: around 25 lbs (taller and slim)

Neutered: Soon

House Trained: Yes

Crate Trained: Yes

Leash Trained: Yes, pulls a little

Likes/Dislikes:

Likes to play, wrestling with other dogs, full of energy, loves to run, yard zoomies, plays with toys

Loves to give and receive affection, lots of cuddling

Does well with other dogs that are active & like to play

Loves car rides

Loves to sleep in the bed (favorite) with you or his crate

Love to run and explore (must have a fence and not leave outside alone for long) *He is not neutered yet, but will be soon, and this should curb his wanting to go visit the neighborhood girls. *

Dislikes getting in trouble, he is sensitive and will pout if you are upset.

Dislikes low energy dogs.

Fine with kids, other dogs, not sure about cats

Special needs:  Has seizures which require administration of anti-seizure medicine at exact times.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
