My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Friendly, Curious, Snuggly

You might think that a senior cat like Beebop wouldn’t be interested in playing anymore; but, he loves to bebop after a laser toy or a string toy!

Beebop is loving and affectionate, and he knows what he wants, and wants what he likes! He loves being pet on top of his head, but doesn’t really care about being stroked on his body. He likes when you slowly and gently hold your hand in front of his face so he can head butt it - and then he will place your hand exactly where he wants it! When he is ready for a snuggle, he will quietly and carefully climb into your lap.

At bedtime he will sleep on top of you or right next to you and will stay in bed all night…and then get excited for breakfast in the morning. He’ll trot with a pep in his step and a happy meow when it’s meal time or treat time!

Beebop was very interested in the 7-year-old he met; he walked up to her, received pets, and took a nap next to her! He gets along with the resident adult cat in his foster home, though he might get grumpy if they both want to be in the same spot on your bed at the same time. Otherwise he isn’t concerned, and will peacefully eat meals while sharing the same space.

Beebop is easy to please! He likes a clean litter box (and he will let you know if it isn’t), but other than that, he wants gentle, loving people that give him his daily quota of snuggles! Contact us today to meet him!

Beebop came to APA! with stomatitis, an inflammation of the mouth. A typical treatment for stomatitis is dental extractions, which was recently done, and that has made his mouth feel so much better! He eats only a wet food diet. At some point he may benefit from supportive care that may include medications. For more information, please contact APA!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
