Meet the sweetest hippo girl you’ve ever laid your eyes on!
This beautiful girl is roughly 9 or 10 years old, and weighs around 70 pounds.
Dulce was rescued from a high kill shelter in California. We assume she was used for breeding her entire life, then discarded when she was no longer useful.
Since we’ve taken Dulce in, we’ve quickly learned what a gentle, kind, loving girl she is. She’s currently living with dogs, big and small, and passed a recent cat test. Besides showering the other dogs in kisses, she tends to keep to her self. She enjoys going for leisurely walks, ALL snacks, treats, and food, toys, taking naps, and going for car rides.
Dulce is the kind of dog you can take with you anywhere, she absolutely adores people. She likes to follow you around while you are doing chores around the house, and when she is excited about something she has a low pitch bark/howl, and does a mellow version of the zoomies. You will never catch this girl not wagging her tail, she is truly one happy gal!
She’s potty-trained, and does great in a kennel, but a home with few or no stairs would be ideal.
If you are looking for a sweet companion to spend your days with, Dulce is it!! She will fill your home with that special kind of hippo energy, and lots of snores. Another one of her favorite pass times is napping… she will saw logs through anything.
She’s just a laid back, easy going gal that’s looking for her forever home to spend the last part of her sweet little life.This girl is so deserving of her happy ending, and she honestly might be exactly the senior girl you've been dreaming of! She would love to spend the rest of her days sun bathing on your patio and watching the birds.
Dulce has some lumps on her belly that are cancerous. She has shown zero signs of discomfort, and still very much gets around great! Considering her past and age, she’s doing wonderful!
