Oscar is very affectionate and loves to cuddle next to us and be petted. He does not enjoy being held. He is 12 years old, and weighs 19 lbs. He has a large build. He eats dry food, but is open to eating wet.
Generally speaking he likes to lounge around, and is rather timid. It just takes a little time for him to get used to new people. He does not like loud noises. He probably would not like to be around young children, but it depends on how much they bother him. We have a pet door that he uses, perhaps once a day, to go outside to the backyard, and around the perimeter of our house. He is not used to having to deal with traffic.
He was somewhat scared of the dog we had, and once we rehomed the dog, the pecking order changed, and Oscar has been bullying our other two cats !!!!
We think he would love to be in a quiet, stress-free household, with someone who takes the time to cuddle with him every day.
