Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sultan (goes by Sully)
Age: ~ 2 years
Breed: GSD
Location: Tulsa
Sully was saved from the euth list after returning to the shelter as a stray with a wound on his leg. He is almost healed and will just need a few more days of bandages. He allows you to change the bandage without any problems.
Sully is a big boy with a big personality. He is quite goofy when he feels comfortable. He is sweet and friendly, he wants to sit in your lap (you an almost 90lb lap dog) and cuddle. He would be a great adventure buddy and loves to go for walks. I haven't had him at the lake yet, but given his excitement about the water bowl he might be the perfect lake companion.
Sully is dog friendly. He wants to play but did not seem to really understand how at first. He is starting to learn to play with his foster brothers and with toys. He enjoys a tough chew toy. He is very respectful of the senior dog in the home and just peacefully co-exists with her. Sully could live with a cat with an experienced owner. He will need proper introductions as he is very interested in the indoor cat. He's never shown aggression, but he chases furry outdoor creatures. At this time, Sully and the cat both have free roam of the house when their foster mom is home, but are not left out together alone when she is not.
Sully is crate and potty trained. He walks on a leash, but pulls on occasion especially when he is excited to see squirrels. He will still need leash work and basic obedience as he is a big strong boy. Sully is working on learning personal space. He prefers to be near his person at all times due to some separation anxiety. As he is settling in to his foster home and feeling more safe he is starting to learn to be more independent. Sully is a great dog and will be perfect when he understands what his family is asking of him. He is highly treat and praise motivated. Sully would do best with older kids due to him not understanding his size. He can also be mouthy which again is trainable but would be best for older kiddos.
