Meet Margot! First things first: Margot asked us to tell you that interested applicants must have a comfy couch and a love of cuddling, since this mild mannered sweetie is the QUEEN of couch potatoes. She loves to snuggle up with her human friends on the couch, especially when belly rubs are involved. She isn’t one for long walks, so homebodies are the perfect companions for her. She’ll get the zoomies from time to time, but really, Netflix and chill is more her jam. Give this girl a chewing stick and she is all yours.
We know Margot will be an excellent family dog as she is currently thriving in a foster home with several children. She is snuggly and loving to everyone and she is so patient with her kiddie friends.
Margot has been exposed to other dogs and has done great. She is nailing her potty training and has been signaling when she needs to go out by walking to the back door. What a smart cookie!
Thankfully, Margot doesn't let her past define her present, nor will she let it prevent her from being your future bestie! Any family would be lucky to have this sweet girl as their forever friend. Will she be yours?

ALIVE Rescue is a sustainable animal rescue group committed to protecting the lives and rights of animals. We believe that every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life. We take on the responsibility to save, rehabilitate and place abandoned, abused and stray animals. Our rescue permanently houses and cares for the animals that cannot be placed into forever homes for the duration of their natural lives. We provide medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health, and/or breed. At ALIVE Rescue, we promote sustainable living and care-giving by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment within our communities. We constantly work to educate the public on current animal issues, including the benefits of spaying/neutering pets.
Since our formation in 2008, ALIVE Rescue has rescued more than 1,600 animals in the Chicago area.
