This Standard Poodle mix is four years old and is a very loyal companion who is affectionate and curious. We just love him!!! He loves to be around people and gets along well with other dogs. He's the total package but unfortunately, his previous owner didn't do him any favors. They knowingly adopted him and his brother knowing that T'Challa had a heart issue yet didn't provide the preventative vet care he needed. In fact, they didn't even disclose this condition.
But no worries T'Challa......we've GOT you now! T'Challa was so lucky to find our rescue as we had a surgery performed where a pacemaker was inserted to give his heart optimal function. He would have likely died within the year without it and now could possibly live a full and long life! He was even featured on the local Nashville news, so he's sort of a celebrity with quite a following. He's now trotting around with a smile on his face loving life! He does take daily heart meds which aren't too expensive, and his only other limitation is he can only wear a harness as a collar would damage his pacemaker connectors. Other than that, he doesn't miss a beat! Did I mention that we just love him? We are looking for a special adopter who is willing to care for T'Challa and give him the love and attention he needs. But honestly, he will give you so much more in return!!!
Additionally, he is a smart boy who is treat-motivated and knows basic commands like sitting, staying, and laying down. T'Challa is a great dog and is very easy to love and hangs with other fur babies without any problems. Everything about him is fun loving and eager to please. He would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a furry friend that truly has a rescue heart. So many people say they want to adopt a rescue dog but only want to adopt a PERFECT rescue dog. Well, here's your chance! T'Challa is an amazing dog with a lot of love to give and deserves a family that can give him their whole hearts especially since he loves instantly with his!
