My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Microchipped, DOB May 5, 2024

At first, Meowna Lisa was more mystery than muse, a shy girl from a hoarding situation who preferred shadows over snuggles. But after just over a month in foster care, she has truly metamorphosed into a bold, funny, and curious cat that fills the room with personality! Now a confident whirlwind of whiskers, Meowna zooms through hallways, chats about her day, and declares her presence with her signature meows. She’s discovered the joy of being petted, and while she’s not quite ready to be carried like royalty, she’s starting to flirt with the idea of lap time. She responds to her name, confidently claims the dog’s bed, is currently learning to play fetch, and will try to eat anything (she especially loves soft food, as she doesn’t have many teeth left, and all fear or boundaries disappear when there's a potential snack in sight, human food included).

Meowna is extremely social with other cats, but her affection can be a bit much for more reserved cats, (she means no harm and brings plenty of goofy joy to the mix). And Meowna is a pro at making friends with calmer dogs - small, medium, or senior dogs are all fair game for her royal court. But she has zero sense of self-preservation, zipping around like a feather toy on legs, which can trigger prey drive in larger/chase-prone/hunting dog breeds. She’s also not a great match for territorial dogs, since she believes the whole world (including all beds and bowls) is hers by divine right.

What Meowna Lisa needs most is and adopter(s) that understands that gaining her trust takes time but is worth the wait. She can live as a solo cat or with a feline friend that won’t mind her boldness (or that can gently remind her to cool it when needed). She has character, curiosity, singing abilities, and a whole lot of love to give.

Her fur is grey and white.

Meowna Lisa shares her chair with her foster parent when they are working, sleeps on the bed, brings toys and plays fetch (almost). She also likes to get under bedsheet/blankets/rugs.
