These Toast (21 pounds) & her sister Butter (17 pounds) joined FABS Rescue after a terrifying close call — they were found in the middle of a busy country road, nearly hit by a semi-truck. Left alone, they faced the risk of getting hit, attacked by wildlife, or worse. Thankfully, a kind soul couldn’t bear to leave them behind and got them to safety. We immediately reached out to one of our fosters, and without hesitation, they said “yes.”
Butter & Toast — two sweet, affectionate girls estimated to be about 3.5 months old. They’ve seen the vet and, aside from being a little underweight and having some parasites (all being treated!), they’re doing well. A good bath, some love, and these two are ready to shine. They have typical puppy energy and are very smart.
Toast & Butter are on their way to learning sit, they are crate trained and are working on potty training. Both sisters are up to date with their vaccinations for their age, are on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. They will be spayed at the vets expense once they are old enough. And they are currently in a home with both dogs and cats.
They’re now safe, loved, and looking for their forever families. Could that be you?

More about this rescue
Furry Animals Being Saved Rescue, Inc. was founded by a dedicated woman committed to the mission of saving the lives of homeless dogs and cats. After getting knocked down several times in the rescue community she decided to branch off and create her own rescue so her mission will go on uninterrupted. FABS Rescue is a foster-based, non-breed specific rescue with an emphasis on the Chow Chow breed, a breed that is very misunderstood. We are based out of Northern Connecticut. FABS Rescue relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors to provide medical care, training, and daily care to dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. We are committed to helping one homeless shelter animal at a time. Please help us to fulfill our mission.
