Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pancake — a precious roll of love with a heart even bigger than her adorable name. When she first came to us, Pancake was in extremely obese condition, but with time, care, and determination, she has already made meaningful progress on her weight-loss journey.
True to her name, Pancake melts right onto the ground the moment you start petting her, soaking up every ounce of affection she can get. She’s sweet, gentle, and loves being part of whatever is happening around her. As she’s begun to feel better in her body, she’s also discovering the joy of being more active and enjoying short, happy walks at her own pace.
Recently, we learned that Pancake has been diagnosed with bone cancer. At this time, we don’t know how much time she has left, but we do know this: she deserves comfort, love, and dignity for every day she has ahead of her.
Pancake would do wonderfully in a hospice foster or a forever home willing to open their heart to her for her final chapter — a quiet place full of soft beds, gentle affection, and someone who will cherish her just as she is. In return, Pancake will give unconditional love, gratitude, and the kind of soul-deep companionship that only a truly special dog can offer.
If you’re able to provide a peaceful, loving home for Pancake, even for a short while, you would mean the world to her.
Currently, I am available for adoption. If you`re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 or Friday and Saturday 1-5.
