Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It is deeply distressing to witness Gabriela's evident sadness. 😭💔
She was returned to our care due to circumstances beyond her control. Her previous family had cared for her for 4 years, during which time she enjoyed a free-roaming lifestyle and regularly watched television with them. However, they decided to get a dog and she had to go.
People often fail to understand that rabbits experience a range of emotions, including happiness, fear, and even love, similar to cats and dogs. While their ways of expressing these feelings might differ, rabbits are capable of forming strong bonds with their owners and showing affection. She lost her home and now she is sad.
Gabriela is an exceptionally sweet girl who thrives on human interaction and affection.
She delights in being held but has difficulty recognizing her own size, weighing 8.6 pounds, which can make handling her challenging. She is a large rabbit with a huge heart.
Prior to her rescue in 2021, Gabriela was living in a hot garage in a small cage until a neighbor intervened and brought her to us.
We believed that we had found a permanent home for her, but upon learning of her return, our hearts sank. 💔😭She had been cherished until the arrival of the dog.
Gabriela is about 5 years old, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and pretty good with the litter box. Would you consider providing a loving home for this exceptionally sweet rabbit?
All she desires is love and the freedom to roam.
