My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zala! 💛 This sweet, playful girl absolutely adores people, is wonderful with kids, and has a serious love for food (and the training that comes with it!). She’s a happy, affectionate medium-sized pup with the most adorable curly tail, and when she gets the zoomies… watch out. It’s pure joy, nonstop smiles, and possibly the cutest thing you’ll see all day.

Zala is truly a little ray of sunshine—sweet, eager, and just the right mix of playful and loving. She’s still settling back in, so we haven’t yet had the chance to see how she does with other dogs, but we’re learning more about her every day. What we do know is that she’s an all-around gem who’s ready to bring laughter, love, and tail wags to her next forever family. Could that be you? 🐾✨

More about this rescue

Founded in 1990, Nuzzles and Co (formerly Friends of Animals Utah) was just a small group of animal lovers lobbying for a new shelter facility. Today, we are a full-fledged animal rescue and rehabilitation organization with an adoption center, dedicated staff and board of trustees, and a 15,000 sq. ft. facility that includes a full veterinary suite, indoor and outdoor training spaces, miles of hiking trails, and a community cat room with an attached "catio."
