Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Dottie
Dottie is a young pup with big, expressive eyes that seem to hold a lifetime of stories. We’re not sure if he’s seen too much of the world—or not nearly enough—but what’s clear is that Dottie is a gentle, sensitive boy who is slowly learning to trust.
He’s been blossoming in his foster homes, taking brave steps each day and discovering that people can be kind and life can be good. He’s quiet and observant, soaking in the world at his own pace. Most of the time, he’s perfectly content just lounging around the house and relaxing, though he does enjoy sniffing around on walks and in the yard, and he’s figuring out that toys can be pretty fun too!
Dottie gets along beautifully with his foster sibling and finds comfort in the presence of another calm dog that can give him space while he warms up. He’s lived with cats and simply ignored them. He’s great in his crate as long as he has some enrichment toys to keep him busy. He’s house trained, crate trained, and quiet as a mouse — a perfect house guest!
Because of his sensitive nature, Dottie would likely thrive in a calm, quiet home without kids, ideally with another gentle dog friend to help coax him out of his shell. He’s not the kind of dog to jump into your lap right away—but if you’re the kind of person who finds joy in quiet moments, soft tail wags, and earning the trust of a shy heart, Dottie just might be your perfect match. 💛
