Meet Zane – Your Future Best Friend!
Zane is a 3-year-old, 50lb, pocket pittie who’s ready to find his forever home! We may be a little biased, but we think he’s the most handsome boy around.
When we first pulled Zane from the shelter, he was heartworm positive. He’s since completed treatment and is doing wonderfully! We’re still learning all the little quirks that make Zane special, but here’s what we know so far: he’s a loyal, lovable, and laid-back guy.
Zane loves to snuggle up on the couch, soak up the sunshine, or happily chew on his favorite bones. He’s non-destructive and enjoys a calm, comfy home life. However, he still gets the occasional case of the zoomies.
He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, you’ll become his person—and his whole world.
Zane gets very excited when meeting new dogs, which can be a bit much for some, but it’s likely due to a lack of proper socialization. We’re working on this with him, and with slow, thoughtful introductions (always recommended!), he’s learning how to make canine pals respectfully. That said, Zane is perfectly content being your one and only—he doesn’t mind being the solo dog in the home.
He’s affectionately known as “Papa Zane” for his sweet, patient demeanor and his adoration of puppies. And while he might not have a whole bag of tricks, he does have one go-to move: offering his paw like a gentleman—his signature “give paw” is always on tap.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants to love and be loved, Zane might be your perfect match.
