My name is Nova!

Meet Nova - a dog with the most appreciative, fun-loving soul. You
will always be laughing as you watch her navigate the world. Her
happiness is truly infectious and she is a social butterfly who LOVES
nothing more than to give kisses to all she meets!! She is so grateful
when gifted toys of her own and will happily show each off to you and
bless you with the biggest tail wags.

Nova is very food motivated but also really gentle. She will
delicately take treats from your hand or sit next to you patiently
while you eat, hoping (but never begging) for a fallen morsel. When
she is overwhelmed with emotion, she picks up her toy and carries it
in her mouth whilst wiggling her happy butt. She never once complained
when we bathed her, isn't hand shy and was able to be picked up as
needed.

Nova is still learning to settle around the house but is making
progress every day. She seems to enjoy sitting next to us on the couch
and watching tv. When she hears an interesting noise on screen, she
has the funniest facial expressions and head tilt. She has been an
easy dog with the perfect mix of that independent and affectionate
nature. She sleeps in her crate overnight and settles in the crate
during the day if you are busy working in another room or outside the
home. She will even sleep in and wait till you get up in the morning.
She is a pretty quiet, non demanding dog.

Her preference is definitely being with people though. Whatever you
are doing, Nova would like to be right beside you, observing and
providing emotional support (she may not always be helpful but she
sure wants to be)! She is really curious, playful and fun. She loves
chasing the flirt pole in the backyard, running after toys and is a
total smarty pants who excels in training too. Nova is making quick
progress in learning doggy manners with the help of yummy treats and
praise.

If her wonderful temperament wasn’t enough, Nova also has the most
beautiful cinnamony-pumpkin coat and honey-colored eyes. She is not
quite one color but a unique mix of fawns, reds and browns up close.
Her white chest and socks are like dollops of whipped cream on a
perfect Fall drink. In the sunlight, her coat glistens and she is
quite the photogenic lady.

Overall, we have found Nova to be an amazing dog with so much love to
give and a joy to have around. I am sure there is so much more to
learn about her endearing personality. She looks forward to making
someone very happy in a home of her own (please no cats though)!"
