Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! I’m Posey — a sleek, playful tortie with a big heart and a silly streak that’s guaranteed to make you smile.
I was adopted once before, but after settling in, I was sadly surrendered when my new family had to move and couldn’t take me with them. Even though that was a big change, I’ve kept my sweet, trusting nature and I’m ready for a forever home that truly lasts.
One of my very favorite things is snuggling. I’m always excited to greet my humans when they come home, and I love curling up close for warm, cozy cuddle sessions. I’m so ready to be someone’s loving companion!
When I meet other cats, I can be a little shy at first and may need a few days to warm up — but give me about a week, and I’ll be their best buddy, wrestling and playing like we’ve known each other forever. I made wonderful friends in my previous foster home, from a wise senior cat to a lively 10-month-old kitten who kept me on my toes! I absolutely adore chasing soft, fuzzy balls and playing until I’m all tuckered out.
I’m not just a cat-cat — I like dogs too! I’m confident, curious, and a tiny athlete who can leap over just about anything. And when it comes to food? I’m all in. Every meal and snack gets an enthusiastic purr of approval.
If you’re looking for a playful, confident, and affectionate little tortie who will fill your days with joy and laughter, I just might be the perfect match. Whoever adopts me is going to be one very lucky person.
Can’t wait to meet you!
— Posey

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
