Hi thanks for stopping by to read about me! My name is Shadow. My sister and I showed up at the house of a nice lady and she contacted the rescue for help. We are guesstimated to have turned 1 in August 2025. I am In a foster home in Towamencin by Fischer’s park. I am now spayed, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped! It took a little longer for my foster mama to catch me than my sister but now I’m really enjoying the house life and have adjusted very well. I recently learned how awesome it is to lay with my foster mom while she’s laying on the couch! And I also give out free exfoliating facials now too ;)I still have a little food insecurity but am learning that I will always get fed twice a day now as a house cat and I get treats everyday too. Treats are YUMMY! I like to rub on my foster mamas legs, get pets, and purr when I am being pet. I am using the litter box to potty all the time and really like to play with my sister and foster siblings. There are 2 spotted dogs in the house too. I don't mind them anymore but gave some hisses to them at first. Since I’m a young spring chicken I’ll need a playmate in my forever home. It’d be super cool if I could be adopted with my sister Sola but it’s not a requirement because we’re not a bonded pair. Do you like what ya see?! Click apply if you think you have the right home for me!

Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
