My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emmy is a sweet, shy girl who needs a home that is willing to be patient and show her how loving people can be. She is very inquisitive and wants to know what's going on but sometimes her shyness temporarily wins over her curiousity. Her brother, Oscar, is very outgoing and she relies on him to show her that it's safe to play with the toys and snuggle with the people. Frequently, when Oscar is in a room playing with a toy or snuggling with you, you'll see Emmy sitting just around the corner taking it all in; and, after a few minutes, she'll come join the fun or hop up next to Oscar for some snuggles as well. Once Emmy warms up to you, she is just as playful and snuggly as Oscar! They love a good game of tag with each other followed by a group nap, preferably on your lap.

Emmy and her brother are nearly identical. The easiest way to tell them apart is the markings on their front legs, which have earned them the nicknames Sally Short Socks and Louie Long Socks.

Emmy and her brother Oscar are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. We have a special adoption fee for this pair for $200. Both have been altered, microchipped, and are UTD on all vaccines.

If interested in adopting Emmy and Oscar, please submit an online adoption application and an adoption coordinator will contact you.

Additional adoption info

Prior to adoption, every CARE cat/kitten has received a thorough exam from a veterinarian, has tested negative for FIV/Felv (except as otherwise noted), been spayed/neutered if old enough, microchipped, dewormed, given flea preventative, and been inoculated against distemper. Rabies vaccine is given if the feline is over 4 months. Any other desirable medical attention has also been provided. Also, each cat/kitten has spent its rescued time in a private home in foster care being loved and assessed for temperament and personality, needs, likes and dislikes.

After your approval by our volunteers, a legal contract is signed with an adoption donation attached (this donation helps defray the medical costs incurred).
The adoption fee is a Donation.
