My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**I am an extended stay friend at the shelter, my adoption fee has been lowered to $50 until July 6th!**

Hi! My name is Zailey

I am a 5-year-old, spayed Pit Bull Terrier. I am microchipped, heartworm tested and current on my vaccines.

3 words that describe me:
Adorable, Adaptable, and Active

Things staff and volunteers have to say about me:
Zailey is a wonderful girl who has formed strong bonds with both staff and volunteers. She carries herself with grace at the shelter and is always sweet and affectionate with staff and volunteers.

Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10)
7/8

Housetraining Status:
Zailey is making progress with house training and just needs a little guidance and consistency to master it completely.

I should do well in a home:
Zailey would thrive in a home WITHOUT children or cats. She tends to do better with male dogs and could do well with the right canine companion, given a proper introduction and time to adjust.

Zailey's favorite activities are spending quality time with loved ones and being involved in whatever they’re doing. She just love being part of the action!

Doggy Day Out Notes:
"Zailey did great today, she got so tired out on our walks. She also did lots of tricks and loves treats. Very social and loves to meet new people."

"She is such a sweet dog. She loves looking out the window on car rides, and she even rolled down the window herself at one point. She was very treat motivated and sat, laid down, and did shake for a treat. She saw a ton of people today, she did great, was very sweet and wanted all the attention. She pulls a little on leash and gets excited especially when going in the pet store but she does listen well when redirected! She is a great dog!"

"Zailey did fantastic on her day out! She is very friendly and did super meeting my husband and a friend. She does pretty good leash walking and pulls a bit but not bad, mostly out of being excited. Zailey is treat and toy motivated and does the 'sit' command well. She does super on car rides and loves putting her snout out the window when it is partly rolled down! Love this petite pittie!"
