My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Webster here is Grade A Certified sweetheart beefcake. He has the muscles of a big boy but all you’ll see is just how sweet and squishy he is.
Take a look at him here then come back to read more about Webster --> https://youtu.be/JaWNE07IzF4

Estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing in at 64 lbs, Webster is likely a Staffy/Pittie mix, a combo that leads to the best qualities, loyal, goofy, and quietly confident, with a playful side. Somehow during our afternoon with him we activated his zoomies, complete with the cutest booty tuck ever! The best part was his zoom is short and sweet, not one person was worried he was going barrel right through them. The zoom was almost immediately followed by an amazing floor sploot.

Webster lives in a foster home with cats and does great with them. He gives them respectful space and doesn’t chase or harass. In fact, he’s got such great house manners that his foster trusts him to free-roam the house while they’re out — and guess what? He gets two thumbs up! They shared that there is no chewing or mischief — just him napping the time away while he waits for them to come home. On top of that, he is fully house trained!

He doesn’t currently live with another dog in his foster home. We introduced him to a variety of dogs to get a feel for his play style and the type of dog he would best fit. Although Webster has great basic leashs skills, he can get excited passing some dogs on leash. With a correction he settles in nicely but he will to work on that a bit more if walks in busy areas with lots of dogs will be part of your regular route. When given the chance to play we say that he has a rough and tumble play style that isn’t suited for everydog. If you have a dog that likes this play style, you know it. The truth is though, Webster loves people and would be perfectly happy as a solo-pup. His people, some treats and a few toys will be more than enough to keep him feeling perfectly happy. If pairing him with another dog, his best fit would be a chill female dog who won’t be bothered by his confidence or is going to insist he play. He doesn’t love being pestered and he will pass on pushy or dominant energy.

When it comes to walks, Webster is best with a confident, strong handler who can continue to help him practice polite leash manners and not let him get too excited when passing other dogs. He is incredibly attentive and smart and will benefit most from direction and consistency. Because of his size and occasional talkative nature, we’re saying no apartments for Webster. When I say talkative, it simply means, he likes to get a little vocal and occasionally even “sings” to you. We think it is adorable but shared-wall apartment neighbors might not agree. A house with a yard would be ideal so he can get his zoomies out in peace and sun-bathe in privacy.
Webster is a big lover boy-affectionate, smart, and truly wants to please. He gets a little jazzed up sometimes, and since he is low and big, we’re recommending older kids just so no one gets knocked over in the excitement.

If you are looking for one incredibly handsome, loyal, low-maintenance, cuddle-ready dog with a big ol’ loving heart, Webster is here for YOU!
All you need is a little space and a soft spot for block-headed cuddlebugs,. All he needs is you.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
