My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mia is estimated to be about 2 years old and currently weighs about 9 1/2 pounds. She's spayed and up to date on core vaccines. Mia is a sweet little girl, extremely affectionate and loves to be by her people.  She's a total cuddlebug.  We're working on leash walking with Mia. She's doing ok, but not a fan and she does get frightened easily.  She follows the pack out in the yard in her current foster home and we feel Mia needs a fully fenced yard and someone to continue leash walking/training within the security of the fenced yard.  While Mia gets along with other dogs, she has demonstrated some food guarding so she needs either an only dog home or a home with another dog and a dog savvy adopter who can manage separate feedings and continue to work with Mia.  Due to the food guarding, we can't consider a home with small children.

Mia will be an exceptional and loyal companion for the right adopter(s).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the application. All required fields must be completed in order for your application to be considered. It's important that we place the right dog with the right family. Adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment...please ensure you have considered this commitment before submitting an application. Once all reference checks are completed, you will be notified if your application has been approved. Upon approval of your application, a "meet and greet" is scheduled. All of our rescues are fostered in loving, caring homes until we find the right permanent home for them. Our foster volunteers will contact you to make arrangements to meet your potential new family member. A home visit is required before we will place any of our rescues in a forever home. Upon completion of a successful home visit, an adoption contract is completed. Adoption fees typically range from $175 to $375..

More about this rescue

We are a rescue organization fueled by our love of animals and the wonderful volunteers who support us and give freely of their time and dedication to the rescue efforts.

3 Hearts 4 Paws Animal Rescue was founded with love and passion and is dedicated not only to the lives of those we save, but to the so many lives that are lost. We are a non profit organization comprised of volunteers who give selflessly and open their hearts and their homes, as a stepping stone to the permanent home every rescue animal dreams of. We are not a shelter, each of our rescues are cared for in the warmth of their foster homes, as we help them on their journey waiting for the place they can call their own.

We are primarily a canine rescue, pulling dogs from high kill shelters across the U.S. Our goal is to save as many lives as we possibly can and to bring an awareness to those around us of the pain and suffering that occcurs in puppy mills and the fate that awaits those thrown away to a shelter. PLEASE...Adopt...don't Shop!
